Ab + original = away from original. Away from here.fron fromt his land. One who came over a land bridge. A friendly indian. Willing Canadian who wants things to go smoothly, who wants to be "equal" or just as good as the white man.
After thinking very deeply I have come to a few conclusions on this quest to learn of who I am as and where I belong. I will always make it my point to figure out who I am as for I change as much as the weather does. Not one point in my life is the same as the other so my journey to learn about me is an ongoing goal. This brought me to many different terms of what I am I indian? Am I "Aboriginal"? Am I First Nations? None of these terms seem to ring to me. Indian because it was given to us by some crazy white guy who got lost. Aboriginal because as you can see above, I am from this land and my people are from this land. Then we get to First Nations. A term given to us to push out Indian term in KKKanada but still regards my people as the "first" and not the "original". Then their the one word of Indigenous. Problem with that it's not who I am but where I fit in with. The Indigenous peoples of New Zealand(Maori). Indigenous peoples of Australia. South America. Then North America which is me. It includes many areas and I want to know who I am.
Do I celebrate "Aboriginal" day or "KKKanada Day"? Heeeeck no. I'm not falling into line for these oppressorsresors or giving up without a fight. Aboriginal my ass. Just another way of "silently" surrendering. Surrendering to the Pirates...Arrrg ye matee!
An aboriginal is okay with things. Believe in the proccess and things we can work things out with the scum bag of the White Goverment. Things like the First Nations Summit, The Assembley of First Nations and other "white" created or influenced institutions. "You cannot take down the masters house with the masters tools."
We have Indians
We have First Nations
We have Aboriginal
First Nations is a political term used by the KKKanadian Goverment on us. "Offical" way of and a "nicer" way of saying "Indian Bands". Indians are the drunks, alcoholics and sleezbags of the "First Nations". Aboriginals are the passive losers who agree and have been assimilated.
Indians and Aboriginals are Syncreto-Pagans and Neo-Pagans
Stelmexw are the real indians who so far only exsisted in our history stories(so far)
I believe indigenous Revolution will happen but it's a revolution that will happen in our spirits. It's a spiritual revolution. I don't believe in the sacred wheel or anything. I don't believe in four corner or four directions. I don't believe in four colours. I believe what my predescors believed. The indians.
We are pathetic excuses for Indians. We are not real indians but descendents of Indians. This does not mean we cannot be like them one day. The only way we an believe them to de-colourselvesrselfs and our world. This means getting rid of all the "Christian" values and beliefs. I personaly do not believe that "God" is the higher being. I don't believe Jesus Christ is a higher being. I believe in anything Christianity or the Bible says. I believe in what the ansestors believed. And it wasn't Christianity! In the end, it comes down to what was assimilated and what was adaptation.
Clothes - Adaptation
Language - Assimilation
Gun - Adaptation
Fishing Boats - Adaptation
Christianistain Values - Assimilation
etc etc.
It is debatable and comes down to what you believe of what was assimilation and what was adaptation. And to rid ourselves of the assimilated things, decolonze ourselves and really adapt.
In the end my life purpose decolonize my people as the best of my tool that kexe7nex siyam gave me. It will happen with the next generation. My generation are the ones who wake up early, at dawn to put out the trash, take in the news paper, put on the coffee and make everything ready for the day to start along with the resistance! Viva La Revolution!
